WESTWARD HO!'s GOT TALENT 2018

As part of the 2018 Westward Ho! Sunset Festivals we introduced Westward Ho!'s Got Talent or WH'sGT for short. It was the highlight of the evenings drawing in people from far and wide. WH'sGT captured the hearts and minds of the audience, we made everyone that participated into stars, if only just for a few precious minutes.

Auditions were held every week from 6.30-7.30pm and ended up with 15 acts, the finest Westward Ho! had to offer.

The last Sunset Festival of 2018 included the WH'sGT finals. We made videos of all fifteen finalists then opened an online poll to find our future stars.

The whole thing was run by Peter Sawyer and compared by Merlin Cadogan and Peter. Our head judge was Councillor Nick Laws with the help of Councillor Roger Tisdale, Heather McCarthy, Alan Day and John Barton. We also had several stand in judges too over the weeks...All were brilliant.

It was a whole lot of fun and added a spark to an already popular series of events.

The entries were competing for the "Money can't buy prize" of turning on the Westward Ho! Christmas Light!
